Born in Milan on 30th November 1961, Marco Giordani graduated in Economics and Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan in 1984.

His professional life began at Unilever Italia, firstly in the Auditing Department and then as Chief Accountant at Quest, a Unilever subsidiary.

In 1989 he joined the Rinascente Group as General Manager and member of the Board of Directors of Comfactor SpA (the captive factoring company of the Rinascente Group).

In 1991 he was appointed Finance Director of the Rinascente Group before being appointed CFO in 1997.

From 1998 to 2000 he worked in the Investments Control Department of IFIL SpA and was nominated to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of La Rinascente and the Board of Directors of S.I.B. (Società Italiana Bricolage).

In September 2000 he was appointed CFO of the Mediaset Group, with responsibilities for accounting, finance, fiscal affairs and investor relations. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Mediaset, Publitalia 80, Telecinco and Medusa Film spa.

From 12th November 2007 he is Chief Executive of RTI.
