Born on 8 September 1947.

He has a degree in Economics and Business from the Catholic University of Milan and began his career in 1972 at Rank Xerox.

Subsequently moving in 1985 to Farmitalia Carlo Erba as Group Controller.

He then moved to Alitalia, first as a Director and then as Controller, before returning to Farmitalia where he was appointed Financial Director and Controller of the Erbamont Group.

In July 1997 he was appointed a director of Mediaset S.p.A. and Central Director of Planning and Control.

Since 12 May 2003 he has appointed Chief Executive Officer of Fininvest S.p.A..

He is also director member of the Boards of Directors of Mediaset, Mondadori, Mediolanum and AC Milan.
