International
For the purpose of interpreting and further developing the international advertising market, which is increasingly characterised by the formation of business combinations and continuous shifts in the decision-making centres, in 1996 the Mediaset Group assigned to Publieurope Ltd. the task of organising and managing adequate activities in Europe with the objective of generating additional revenues from the following sources:
- searching for new business opportunities in other countries;
- constant contacts with the headquarters of multinationals.
The main benefits derived from these operations are:
- the Group's television networks, both the traditional generalist channels Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4 and Telecinco and the recent free-to-air and pay TV digital and specialist channels
- the magazines from Mondadori Pubblicità
- the Internet sites of Mediamond, which was set up in 2009 and began operating in 2010, for the sale of advertising from the web properties of Mediaset and Mondadori
Other important European publishing groups have also entrusted Publieurope with selling advertising space on their networks. Over the years Publieurope has developed a portfolio that includes:
- a contract with the ProSiebenSat1 Group for the German Pro7, Sat1, Kabel1 networks, which together represent approximately 30% of television audiences in Germany
- the SBS commercial networks that operate in northern Europe (Flemish Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland) and also in Rumania and Hungary
- the television network run by the British group Channel 4 Corp, which represents approximately 22% of commercial television audiences in Great Britain
The commercial operations are carried out from offices in London, Munich, Paris, Lausanne, Milan and Madrid in collaboration with Publitalia'80 and Publiespaña.
The results for 2010 are very positive and consolidate the trend of recent years.
