MEDIASET ON THE AGCOM INJUNCTION

With reference to today's announcement by the Communication Authority, Mediaset reiterates its position and stands by its conviction to have acted in full respect of existing norms and the guidelines issued by the Authority itself.

The analysis made by AGCOM was conducted in a unilateral and partial manner in that it was limited to just 3 days of programming, during which all of the spots regarding the forthcoming referendum were broadcast by Mediaset channels.

Mediaset is convinced that it provided viewers with correct and impartial information on the fundamental issues involved in the referendum, within the limits of a television communication of this kind.

Note should also be made of the news coverage and dedicated programmes through which, on a daily basis, Mediaset channels provide extensive information on the referendum, encouraging citizens to refer to institutional sources in order to be fully aware of the issues involved.
