GIOVANNI TOTI WILL TAKE OVER AS EDITOR OF STUDIO APERTO

From Monday 22 February Giovanni Toti will take over as editor of Studio Aperto.
He replaces Mario Giordano, who will move to run the newly created news agency News Mediaset.
Toti is one of the youngest editors in Italian journalism and has already demonstrated great skills and  professionalism in his previous positions, We are sure that he will be able to give a fresh and exciting interpretation to the unique and winning style of the Italia 1 news programme.

Giovanni Toti, born in Viareggio on 7 September 1968, has been a professional journalist since 1999. He joined Mediaset in 1996, working on Studio Aperto as a news reporter, he then moved on to be political correspondent and subsequently political editor. In 2006 he moved to Videonews, the title for Mediaset's background programmes, as editor of the programme " Liberitutti" broadcast by Rete 4 in prime time.
Returning to Studio Aperto, during the first period under Mario Giordano, he was among the editors of the weekly programmes of the title " Lucignolo" and " Live".
From 2007 to 2009 he was deputy director of communications and head of media relations of the Mediaset Group.
In October 2009 he returned to Studio aperto as co-editor.
