Fedele Confalonieri was born in Milan on 6th August, 1937.

He graduated in Law from the State University of Milan.

He is a Member of the Board and of the Executive Committee of the Italian Confederation of Industry "Confindustria" and of the Lombardy Industrialists Confederation "Assolombarda". He is also Chairman of the National Television Broadcasters Association, which is part of the National Broadcasting Federation.

He is a member of the Management Council of Assonime, the Association for Italy's limited liability companies.

He is Member of the Boards of Directors  of "Il Giornale", a national daily newspaper.

He is also Member of the Boards of Directors and Deputy Chairman of Mediaset Espana Comunicacion S.A..
